Patient Specific Anatomical Models are life-sized 3D Printed models captured through an MRI or CT scan. Being able to hold/observe a physical model in your hands can sometimes be the best alternative to looking at a scan or rendering of the scan. After uploading your CT or MRI Scan, our team of professionals convert your Scan into an accurate, realistic, 3D-Printed life-size anatomical model of your patients lung.
These 3DPrinted anatomical models are suitable as a pre-surgical planning tool, educational/research tool, and an educational tool for explaining a treatment for your patient. There are four options available with our Professional Version:
1. Print-Ready Color – A full-color anatomical model which highlights any external structures on the model. Segmentation (selection/highlighting of selected anatomical data) has already been completed by the surgeon or radiologist.
2. Print-Ready Transparent – A fully transparent anatomical model which contains different colors to highlight structures such as tumors, veins, soft tissue, bone, etc. Segmentation has already been completed by the surgeon or radiologist.
3. Color with Full Segmentation – A full-color anatomical model which highlights any external structures on the model. Segmentation (selection/highlighting of selectedanatomical data) is performed by our trained staff who are segmentation specialists inconsultation with the radiologist or surgeon.
4. Transparent with Full Segmentation – A fully transparent anatomical model which would contain different colors to highlight structures such as tumors, veins, soft tissue, bone, etc.Segmentation (selection/highlighting of selected anatomical data) is performed by ourtrained staff of segmentation specialists in consultation with the radiologist or surgeon.
Our full-color 3D Printed anatomical models are opaque in appearance and are made from a solid sandstone type material on a Color Jet Printer. Multiple layers of powder are bonded together forming a vibrant looking high-color model. Because of the materials this is the least expensive patient specific model available.
Our transparent models are made from liquid resin with a special finish applied to produce the transparent look. The resin is UV-cured. These models are much stronger and vivid in detail, providing a see through visual that is highly sought after in medical modeling. Because of the materials used and manufacturing processes, these models demand a higher value and cost with much more benefit.
All 3D Printed models, design teams and the associated printers go through a quality control process ensuring accuracy of the print and technologies associated before being shipped to the surgeon. These models are meant to be used in a non-sterile environment.
