A:  In addition to the skeleton, a sturdy, easy-to-assemble stand is included.  If you need any assistance assembling the stand or skeleton, don't hesitate to contact us.

Q: Will this model be as detailed as a full size skeleton?

A: While this model is very detailed, if you are looking for an advance skeleton, but not quite full size, we would suggest the Mini Human Skeleton . The Axis mini skeleton is great for basic study, but if you want a very detailed, advanced model, the mini human skeleton, may be a better option.

A: No, the hands and feet are not articulated. While the major joints of this model are, you are not able to move the individual fingers and toes.

Q: Can the skeleton be removed from the base?

A: Yes, you can remove the skeleton from the base. The skeleton easily slides on and off of the pole that it is mounted on. You can also unscrew the pole from the base.

A: This is a male human skeleton.

A: No, this model is not labeled or numbered.

Q: Can the skull be removed from the skeleton?
A: Yes, there's a nut and small wedge of plastic inside the skull cavity that can be removed, and once removed, the skull will come off. PLEASE NOTE: If you do this, make sure you keep the nut and wedge of plastic in a safe place, as they're pretty small and if they go missing you won't be able to put the skull back on.

I actually got this model based on the other review that I saw here. “Phil” was right. The quality of this model was so much better than some of the other cheaper models that I have gotten in the past. Totally worth me spending a few extra dollars for something that is actually going to last more than a year or two.. (Posted on 5/2/17)

I recently purchased the Axis Scientific Miniature Skeleton and the Flexible Mr Thrifty Skeleton Anatomy Model with Spinal Nerves with the intention of keeping one or the other. As soon as I opened both skeletons and looked at them side by side I could see that the quality of the Axis model was worth the additional money. The Mr Thrifty model is made of a more brittle composite material that did not instill confidence in its overall construction. The Axis model is very well made and is a beautiful piece for the money. The overall construction of the Axis model is very durable and should last for a number of years even if it is handled on a regular basis. I have purchased many mini and full sized skeletons over the years and the Axis is one of the best I have seen. I would also like to add that customer service (Liz) from Anatomy Warehouse was fast and friendly and makes you feel like you actually matter to them. (Posted on 3/6/17)
