Full Head Models
The human head is full of a variety of structures, from the bony skull to the muscles of the face to our brains. With so much going on upstairs, it’s important for doctors and students to understand the contents of our skulls on a very clear level. With that in mind, we’ve collected a number of models of the full head, allowing for a range of study options, as well as patient education. Not sure what you need? Use Your Head – Anatomical Models of the Full Head
If our bodies were computers, the head and its contents would more or less be the central processing unit. After all, the brain controls a huge slew of our bodily functions, and our eyes help us perceive light and color. It’s a fascinating area of the body, and well worth a thorough study. With our collection of full models of the head, it’s easy for students and patients to get a great overall picture of the head and its parts.
One of our favorite full head models is the Life-size Human Head Anatomy Model in 6 Parts, a life-size replica of the human head. The model features a 4 part brain with arteries which can be removed and studied independently. The eye is also removable for up close study. One side of the internal features of the nose, mouth, pharynx, and skull base are exposed as well, making it a complete study aid for the head and its contents. The model is advanced enough for medical study but clear enough to explain to patients in a simple manner.
For those interested in a model that includes the musculature of the head and neck, we recommend the Human Head and Neck Musculature Anatomy Model. The model is similar to the previous suggestion, but includes a number of superficial and deep muscles of the neck, as well as nerves and blood vessels.
