Four Free Apps for Anatomy

We’ve been reviewing the best smartphone and tablet apps for study of human anatomy. It’s true that many of the best anatomy apps will cost you a pretty penny, but at least some developers understand that medical students and other anatomy enthusiasts can’t afford to spend hundreds of dollars on software for medical exam preparation. That’s why we’d like to introduce you to these four free apps for anatomy, so you can study without spending any more.

Why we love it: The lite version is wonderful and teaches about the skeleton and human organs. The app quizzes users about the various parts of human anatomy in four languages (English, French, German, and Spanish). It’s recommended for anatomical study in high school, colleges, and medical schools, and you can upgrade to the full version for just $3! The developers also have another free app called Speed Bones Lite and *more apps for under $3.

Why we love it: This anatomy app has high quality 3D anatomical images available for free. But the best part must be the personalized quiz questions. Every quiz is uniquely created for you, and you can set up features to makes the tests timed, include sounds, and more. The down side is that it may be easy for an advanced student of human anatomy, but they have an option to purchase more questions for a low price.

Why we love it: This is your quick go-to educational reference for human anatomy. The app has information from 16 biological systems, including the endocrine, lymphatic, muscular system, urinary, and others.
