I think this will be a good learning tool for my anatomy students as they only need to know basic anatomy at this point. Being able to hold the different bones will help them learn. If you need to know all the details of anatomy for the bones this isn't the one for you, but for beginners this works great. (Posted on 5/9/16)

I teach A&P online and this very economical set is an excellent practice tool, especially combined with either Tiny Tim or the larger 36" full skeleton. I bought it for my 5 year old grand daughter who had previously gotten the 36" model, who we named Arnie, for Christmas when she was 2 1/2. She learned all of the major bones within a month of getting the full skeleton and helped one of my mature students identify the bones when I had her at the college with me. (that was funny!) I decided to order a disarticulated skeleton for her so that she could learn to identify the bones individually. She takes a bone and holds it up to 'Arnie" to see which bone it is and can name the bone. She is also learning, quickly, to identify the bones in the disarticulated version. If a 5 year old can learn using these tools, then they are more than excellent tools for the student, regardless of grade level. I strongly recommend this product for any student on a budget since you get one of every bone in the body at a very reasonable price. The only difference in this and the full skeleton is that you get both right and left bones with the full skeleton, which is not vital to learning the bones in my opinion. This set, on the other hand, is invaluable to the student. (Posted on 6/21/13)
