Q: I see that this model's focus is on the regions of the brain. Can all other structures of the brain be viewed as well?
A: While you are able to see some of the brain structures, like the pons, thalamus, medulla oblongata and the cerebellum to name a few, if you are lookng for all of the features of the brain, you may want a more detailed model. We would suggest the Axis 8 Part Brain with Arteries.

A: Yes, this model does come with a base. It also comes with a manual that clearly labels the features of the brain.

Q: How big is this model?
A: This model is 6 x 5.5 x 5.5 inches. It is considered a life size model.

Q: What is this model made of?
A: This model is made of high-quality PVC plastic.

Q: Does this model have a warranty?
A: Yes, like all Axis Scientific products, this model has a 1-year warranty.

A: Each major region of the brain is colored to indicate each individual region.  Major regions covered are:

Q: How are the two pieces held together?
A: The two parts of the brain actually sit together in the base. The brain is not whole once removed from the base. There are no posts or magnets present.

Q: Does this model have a realistic texture?
A: No, this model is made of a hard plastic. You will be able to feel the lands and grooves, but the model is not soft like real brain tissue.

Q: Does this model show any diseases or deformities?
A: No, this model is of a healthy human brain.
