Q: Is Sam as flexible as the Fred Skeleton?
A: Yes. Not only is Sam as flexible as Fred, but he also includes painted markings that show where the muscles attach to the bones (also known as “muscle insertion” and “muscle origin” points). On top of that, the major joints on Sam’s right side include artificial ligaments that give you a much better way to demonstrate life-like movement in the arm, hip, and leg. For these reasons and more, that’s why Sam is Super!

Q: Does Sam need to be put together?

A: If Sam was shipped fully assembled, he'd be too big to be shipped in a normal box.  Fortunately, assembly is very simple with the included instructions.  The limbs and skull must be attached, and the stand is put together upon arrival.  Overall, the process only takes about 5-10 minutes.  If you need help assembling your Sam skeleton, or any of our skeleton models, just give us a call, use our LiveChat, or send us an email.

I'm not sure if they changed their stands, but I saw other people complain about their Sam stand breaking and mine has been perfect and sturdy. Nice and heavy duty! (Posted on 5/23/14)

The skeleton model itself is fine and adequate to do everything needed for a high school class. The stand is flimsy and two of the legs broke off just from being rolled across the room gently by an adult (Posted on 12/19/13)
